Hi there! This week will be short and sweet because I am feeling under the weather but I have a few things to share! Thanks for reading.
🎧 Not to sound like a repeat of last week but I have yet another BBC History podcast to recommend: Lady Killers with Lucy Worsley. Each week, Lucy dives into the story of a crime committed by a woman from the past. The storytelling provides a lot of context around what life was like for women during that particular time and Lucy usually brings on a guest to help tell the nuances of the story. It is a must-listen for me and the new season just started!
🎬 I’ve temporarily switched up my “treadmill watch” from Taskmaster (as discussed in a previous post) to these Off Script With The Hollywood Reporter roundtable discussions with actors, screenwriters and directors. It helps if you’re interested in how movies get made but these are a good jumping-off point to follow awards season. For whatever reason they suck me right in and make me forget I’m huffing and puffing on the treadmill. This is also how I learned the valuable piece of trivia that Emma Stone is a big fan of the melting face emoji 🫠
🛸 Last but not least, Tom and I just announced our new podcast Wanna Hear Something Weird? We’ve been working on it for what feels like ages so it’s a relief to finally put it out into the world. It’s fun, fascinating, and weird. The first episode is coming this week and you can subscribe now on Apple, Spotify, etc. Join us!
🐕 Ginger of the Week:
Off to drown myself in throat-comfort tea.
Take care!
