Hi readers, thanks for opening up this email. I can’t find a common theme between all the things I want to talk about this week so I’ve turned to an old friend: gifs. Big thanks for responding and sharing this newsletter!
🎭 Hacks is back, and I’m already dreading when it will leave us again (which, unfortunately, is next week). If you’ve never seen it, the show focuses on two women from different generations who couldn't be more opposite. They find common ground and navigate the world of comedy from a female perspective. By the current season, the relationship between the two leads—Deborah and Ava—has grown so much that they’re really working as a team and butting heads less and less. The show also paints a portrait of how the comedy world works, especially for someone who has reached a Joan Rivers-level of success. It’s smart and full of heart—prepare to laugh!

👑 I, like many others, am fully invested in the current season of Bridgerton. I can’t resist a regency romance and Bridgerton is so over the top that it’s complete escapist fun. They’ve broken this season into two parts (which I both love and hate). As a result, I may or may not have watched some episodes more than once while I wait for part two coming mid-June (which is exactly the trap Netflix wants me to fall into!).

🎵 I’ve been listening to this new thing called music lately, especially Chappell Roan and the new Billie Eilish album. When I need to listen to something instrumental while I work, I’ve listened to the Bridgerton soundtrack to fuel my obsession. I promise that’s the last mention of Bridgerton for the remainder of this email.
🎙️ Lastly, we released a very fun episode of Wanna Hear Something Weird? this week about haunted dolls—and even close encounters we’ve had with some of them!
